ARES/RACES Training Net Procedure

QST QST QST All ARES/RACES members and guests

 

This is (…call…), (…name…), net control for the San Luis Obispo District, South County ARES/RACES training net, operating from (…location…).  This net meets every Tuesday evening at 1930 hours.  On the first Tuesday of each month the net is held on the South County Lopez Canyon repeater, 146.940 mHz.  On the remaining Tuesdays of each month the net is held on the 146.700 mHz South County ARES/RACES repeater.  Both repeaters are minus offset with a PL of 127.3. 

 

If neither repeater is available, the net will be held on the South County simplex frequency of 146.580. 

 

The purpose of this net is to perform a weekly test of emergency communications equipment, to exchange information relating to emergency readiness, and to provide emergency training.

After the member check-in there will be a call for all guests and visitors.

All visitors wishing to check in or any local stations desiring to be added to the roster, please give your call, name, and QTH at this time.

(acknowledge each station and ask the locals if they would like to be added to the roster)

 

All members, guests, and visitors are encouraged to take part in the District wide ARES/RACES training net, each Tuesday at 1945 hours on 146.670 MHz, minus offset, and with a PL tone of 127.3 Hz.
